This market refers to the Valorant match between Insomnia and AGELITE in the VCL Japan Main Stage, initially scheduled for June 25 at 6:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Insomnia" if Insomnia win the match against AGELITE. This market will resolve to "AGELITE" if AGELITE win the match against Insomnia. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real money on outcomes. This market has attracted $16,304 in total trading activity, suggesting meaningful conviction among participants. Prediction markets tend to be more efficient at incorporating late-breaking information and sharp analysis, since traders can continuously adjust positions. However, sportsbooks may offer better liquidity for large bets. Comparing both sources gives you a fuller picture of how different groups assess the likely winner.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling shares that pay out based on the match result. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price reflects the collective assessment of all active traders; higher prices indicate stronger belief in that outcome occurring. As new information emerges—team roster changes, recent performance, or injury reports—traders adjust their positions, moving the price up or down. The market's depth and 24-hour volume of $16,245 show how actively participants are trading, which generally correlates with price reliability and the speed at which new information gets priced in.
This market resolves around Jun 25, 2026, once the Valorant match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by which team wins the best-of-three series under the official VCL Japan ruleset. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout automatically after resolution. Until that point, prices will fluctuate based on team news, scrim results, roster updates, and community sentiment. The exact timing may shift slightly if the match is delayed, but the resolution window remains anchored to the scheduled event date.
Several catalysts could shift prices before resolution. Roster announcements or player substitutions for either team would likely trigger sharp repricing, as would injury reports or visa issues affecting key competitors. Recent tournament results, scrim leaks, or analyst commentary on team form often move sentiment quickly. Patch changes to Valorant itself can alter the competitive landscape and team preparation timelines. Social media momentum and community discussion can also influence trader positioning, especially as the match date approaches. Monitor official VCL Japan announcements and team social channels for updates that might reshape expectations about which team enters the series as the stronger competitor.
