Description

This market refers to the Valorant match between Gentle Mates and Team Heretics in the VCT EMEA Group Alpha, initially scheduled for April 22 at 2:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Gentle Mates" if Gentle Mates win the match against Team Heretics. This market will resolve to "Team Heretics" if Team Heretics win the match against Gentle Mates. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi market references Map 2 winner only and uses a logical contradiction (resolves YES for either team winning the same map), while Polymarket markets cover match winner, individual map winners, series length, and map handicap with standard resolution logic. The Kalshi market is fundamentally unresolvable as written.Hero tip: Avoid the Kalshi market entirely—it contains a logical error that makes it impossible to determine a single resolution outcome. Focus on Polymarket markets, which use standard sports betting logic: match winner resolves based on series outcome, map markets resolve based on individual map results, and all markets reference vlr.gg as the authoritative source.

Critical divergence points:

  • Kalshi: The market states: 'If Team Heretics wins map 2... then the market resolves to Yes. If Gentle Mates wins map 2... then the market resolves to Yes.' This creates a logical contradiction where the market resolves YES regardless of which team wins Map 2, making it unresolvable. No resolution path exists for a NO outcome.
  • Polymarket: Four distinct markets with clear, mutually exclusive resolution logic: (1) Match Winner resolves to the series winner or 50-50 if canceled/forfeited/delayed >7 days; (2) Map 1 Winner resolves based on Map 1 outcome or 50-50 if not completed; (3) Games Total O/U 2.5 resolves Over if 3+ maps played, Under if fewer, or 50-50 if canceled/delayed; (4) Map Handicap resolves to Gentle Mates if they win 2+ more maps than Heretics, otherwise Heretics, or 50-50 if canceled/delayed. All reference vlr.gg as primary source with 2-hour fallback to credible reporting.
