This market refers to the Valorant Winners match between Gentle Mates and Nongshim RedForce in the Esports World Cup Group C, initially scheduled for July 5 at 9:45AM ET. This market will resolve to "Gentle Mates" if Gentle Mates win the match against Nongshim RedForce. This market will resolve to "Nongshim RedForce" if Nongshim RedForce win the match against Gentle Mates. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are driven by trader consensus and real-money conviction. This market may show sharper or softer odds than traditional sportsbooks depending on where informed esports bettors perceive edge. Comparing the two can reveal whether public sentiment on Polymarket aligns with professional oddsmakers' views on the outcome.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker or order-book system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on one outcome, and the price reflects the collective belief of active traders at any moment. As new information emerges—team roster changes, recent tournament results, or player performance—traders adjust their positions, moving the price up or down. This continuous repricing ensures the market stays responsive to evolving conditions leading up to the match.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the Valorant match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result within the Esports World Cup Group C tournament. Resolution hinges on which team wins the best-of-three series, with no ambiguity once the final map is played and the victor is declared by tournament officials or broadcast coverage.
Key catalysts include roster announcements, player injuries or roster changes, recent tournament performance by either team, and pre-match analysis from esports commentators. Scrim results or practice footage shared by teams or community members can shift trader sentiment. Major meta shifts in Valorant patch notes may also influence perceived team strength. As the match date approaches, any news about team form, internal conflicts, or coaching changes could trigger sharp repricing, while live-match developments during the series itself will drive final price movements.
