The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction markets like Polymarket and Kalshi operate on peer-to-peer or market-maker models where traders directly set prices, whereas traditional sportsbooks employ oddsmakers and hold margins. Prediction market odds for this G2 versus XLG match tend to reflect crowd sentiment and real-time information more dynamically, often adjusting faster to roster changes, scrim results, or player form updates. Sportsbooks may lag behind or apply wider margins. Comparing the two reveals whether professional bettors and casual traders on prediction platforms see different value than licensed sportsbooks, making prediction markets useful for identifying consensus or contrarian views on the VCT Masters London Playoffs matchup.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Polymarket and Kalshi serve different user bases, liquidity pools, and regulatory environments, leading to natural price variations. Polymarket may attract traders focused on specific props like map round totals, while Kalshi concentrates volume on match-winner contracts. Differences in user geography, trading hours, and platform incentives mean that the same G2 versus XLG outcome can trade at different implied probabilities simultaneously. Lower liquidity on one platform or a sudden influx of directional bets can widen spreads. Savvy traders monitor both platforms to spot mispricings and exploit temporary divergences before the match resolves.
Key catalysts for price movement include roster announcements or player substitutions, recent scrim results or team performance clips shared on social media, injury or availability updates for star players, and meta shifts in Valorant patch notes. Analyst commentary and community sentiment on platforms like Twitter and esports forums can drive trader positioning. Pre-match interviews revealing team confidence or tactical adjustments may shift odds. Historical head-to-head records and recent tournament placements also influence expectations. As the match approaches, any official statements from G2 or XLG about preparation, and betting action from professional esports bettors, will likely cause price swings on both Polymarket and Kalshi.
