Description

This market refers to the Valorant match between G2 Esports and Leviatán Esports in the VCT Americas Stage 1 Group Alpha, initially scheduled for April 18 at 5:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "G2 Esports" if G2 Esports win the match against Leviatán Esports. This market will resolve to "Leviatán Esports" if Leviatán Esports win the match against G2 Esports. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Kalshi resolve based on the actual match outcome between G2 Esports and Leviatán Esports, with consistent treatment of forfeits, disqualifications, and cancellations, using vlr.gg as the primary resolution source.

Primary resolution logic:

Official information from https://vlr.gg, with fallback to credible reporting and video evidence if vlr.gg does not publish results within 2 hours of match conclusion.

Core resolution logic:

  • Match winner market resolves to the team that wins the BO3 series.
  • If the match is canceled, ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days without a winner, the market resolves 50-50.
  • If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins by opponent forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover during play, the market resolves to the winning team.
  • If the match ends due to pre-match forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before start), the market resolves 50-50.
  • Games Total (O/U 2.5) resolves Over if 3 or more maps are played, Under if fewer than 3 maps are played; maps won by forfeit count if the match is completed.
  • Individual map winner markets resolve based on the completed map result; if a map is not completed, that market resolves 50-50.
  • Map Handicap (G2 -1.5 vs Leviatán +1.5) resolves to G2 if they win 2 or more maps than Leviatán; otherwise resolves to Leviatán.

Edge cases & Clarifications:

  • Clinching Map Forfeiture: If the match ends due to the clinching map being forfeited, this counts as a completed match for Games Total and Map Handicap purposes.
  • Incomplete Match with Partial Completion: If the match begins but is not completed, individual map markets resolve based on completed maps (50-50 if the map in question is incomplete), while match winner and handicap markets resolve 50-50 if the series is not finished.
  • Team Name Discrepancies: Minor spelling variations, sponsor tags, regional identifiers, or formatting differences in team names are treated as referring to the same team; resolution is based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching.

Timing:

Resolution occurs upon official publication of match results on vlr.gg within 2 hours of match conclusion, or upon consensus of credible reporting if vlr.gg is delayed.
