Description

This market refers to the Valorant match between Fnatic and Team Vitality in the VCT EMEA Group Omega, initially scheduled for April 9 at 11:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Fnatic" if Fnatic win the match against Team Vitality. This market will resolve to "Team Vitality" if Team Vitality win the match against Fnatic. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Issue:

Kalshi's two markets both resolve to YES for any match outcome (either team winning), making them logically equivalent to a tautology and fundamentally misaligned with Polymarket's binary outcome structure. Polymarket resolves to a single winner (Fnatic or Team Vitality) or 50-50 on cancellation/tie/delay, while Kalshi's markets do not differentiate between the two teams.

Hero Tip:

Avoid betting on Kalshi's markets in this group—they resolve YES regardless of which team wins, offering no predictive value. Polymarket's markets are the only ones with genuine binary outcomes tied to match results. If you must trade Kalshi, treat it as a 'match will be played' bet, not a team-outcome bet.

Critical Divergence Points:

  • Kalshi: Outlier: Both Kalshi markets resolve to YES if either Team Vitality wins OR Fnatic wins the match, with no differentiation between outcomes. The rules state 'If Team Vitality wins... then the market resolves to Yes' and 'If Fnatic wins... then the market resolves to Yes,' creating a logical tautology where the market always resolves YES as long as the match is played.
  • Polymarket: Aligned with standard binary sports resolution: Polymarket's main match market resolves to 'Fnatic' if Fnatic wins, 'Team Vitality' if Team Vitality wins, or 50-50 on cancellation/tie/delay beyond 7 days. Map-level and handicap markets follow similar binary logic tied to actual match outcomes. The rules explicitly state 'This market will resolve to "Fnatic" if Fnatic win the match' and 'This market will resolve to "Team Vitality" if Team Vitality win the match.'
