This market refers to the Valorant Quarterfinal 2 match between Fennel and Crest Gaming Zst in the VCL Japan Season Finals Playoffs, initially scheduled for July 5 at 6:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Fennel" if Fennel win the match against Crest Gaming Zst. This market will resolve to "Crest Gaming Zst" if Crest Gaming Zst win the match against Fennel. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader consensus and real-money skin in the game. Esports betting markets, including Valorant competitions, may see sharper or slower price discovery depending on liquidity and public information flow. Comparing this market's implied probability to major sportsbook lines can reveal where the crowd sees edge or where consensus breaks down.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that adjusts odds continuously as traders place buy and sell orders. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome share reflects the cumulative belief of all participants; as money flows toward one team, that outcome's price rises and the opposing outcome falls. Liquidity pools determine how much slippage you experience on larger trades, and the platform's fee structure is factored into the spread between bid and ask prices.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the best-of-three series between the two teams concludes and the winner is verified against credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by which team wins the majority of games in the playoff matchup under official VCL Japan rules. Resolution occurs after the final game is played and results are confirmed by the league or official broadcast sources, ensuring accuracy before payouts are distributed to winning traders.
Key catalysts include roster changes, player injuries, or substitutions announced before the series begins, as these directly affect team strength and win probability. Recent tournament results, head-to-head records, and scrim performance leaks can shift trader conviction. In-game momentum during the series itself—map bans, early round wins, and tactical adjustments—will drive sharp repricing as new information emerges. Media coverage, analyst predictions, and community sentiment on social platforms may also influence order flow and market direction leading up to and during the matches.
