This market refers to the Valorant match between DRX Academy and T1 Academy in the VCL Korea: Regular Season, initially scheduled for June 18 at 7:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "DRX Academy" if DRX Academy win the match against T1 Academy. This market will resolve to "T1 Academy" if T1 Academy win the match against DRX Academy. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven purely by trader supply and demand. Esports markets, particularly at the academy level, may see wider gaps than mainstream sports because sportsbook coverage is thinner. Comparing this market's implied probability to any available esports betting lines can reveal whether traders are pricing the matchup differently than traditional oddsmakers, potentially signaling valuable information or market inefficiency.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker (AMM) system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more capital flowing into one outcome, the higher its price climbs; conversely, selling pressure lowers it. This continuous repricing mechanism means the odds you see reflect the latest consensus among active traders. Liquidity depth determines how much slippage you experience on larger trades, so checking the order book helps you understand the true cost of your position size.
This market resolves around Jun 18, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by which team wins the best-of-three series. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as new information—such as team roster updates, recent performance, or injury news—emerges. Resolution happens automatically once the event result is confirmed, at which point winning shares pay out in full and losing shares expire worthless.
Several catalysts could shift trader conviction before this market resolves. Roster changes, player substitutions, or surprise roster announcements for either academy squad could trigger repricing. Recent match results, scrim outcomes, or public statements from coaches and players often influence esports sentiment. Meta shifts in Valorant—new agent balance patches or map pool changes—may favor one team's playstyle over the other. Injury or availability news, streaming commentary from pro analysts, and betting action from informed esports insiders can all move prices as new information reaches the market.
