Description

This market refers to the Valorant match between Dragon Ranger Gaming and Nova Esports in the VCT China Group Omega, initially scheduled for April 3 at 5:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Dragon Ranger Gaming" if Dragon Ranger Gaming win the match against Nova Esports. This market will resolve to "Nova Esports" if Nova Esports win the match against Dragon Ranger Gaming. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi resolves on match winner only (binary YES/NO outcome for either team winning), while Polymarket offers three distinct markets with different resolution criteria: match winner, map handicap, games total, and individual map winners. The platforms use fundamentally different market structures and settlement scopes.Hero tip: If betting on Kalshi, you are simply betting on which team wins the match. On Polymarket, you have granular options: you can bet on the match winner, the map spread (-1.5 handicap), total maps played (over/under 2.5), or individual map outcomes. Kalshi's binary structure means all outcomes collapse to a single YES or NO; Polymarket's multi-market structure allows hedging and more precise predictions. Ensure you understand which specific Polymarket market you are trading before comparing odds.

Critical divergence points:

  • Kalshi: Distinct stance: Kalshi offers a single binary market that resolves YES if either Dragon Ranger Gaming or Nova Esports wins the match. The market description states 'If Dragon Ranger Gaming wins... then the market resolves to Yes' and 'If Nova Esports wins... then the market resolves to Yes,' meaning both outcomes resolve to YES. This is a structural anomaly in the source data that makes Kalshi's market logically unclear, though the intent appears to be a match-winner binary (one market per team outcome, not shown here).
  • Polymarket: Distinct stance: Polymarket provides four separate markets with different settlement criteria: (1) Match Winner (DRG vs Nova), (2) Map Handicap (DRG -1.5 vs Nova +1.5), (3) Games Total (Over/Under 2.5 maps), and (4) Individual Map Winners (Map 1 and Map 2). Each market has unique resolution logic, thresholds, and edge-case handling. For example, the Map Handicap market resolves 50-50 if the match is delayed beyond 7 days or incomplete, while the Match Winner market resolves to the team that wins even if the opponent forfeits mid-match.
