Description

This market refers to the Valorant match between Caldya Esport and Mandatory in the VCL France: Revolution Stage 2 Regular Season, initially scheduled for April 25 at 9:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Caldya Esport" if Caldya Esport win the match against Mandatory. This market will resolve to "Mandatory" if Mandatory win the match against Caldya Esport. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Issue:

Kalshi market is logically malformed and unresolvable. It states 'If Caldya Esport wins...then resolves to Yes' AND 'If Mandatory wins...then resolves to Yes', creating a contradiction where both outcomes resolve identically. Polymarket markets have coherent binary and conditional logic; Kalshi's structure violates basic resolution integrity.

Hero Tip:

Do not trade the Kalshi market. It cannot be settled fairly because both possible match outcomes (Caldya win or Mandatory win) are mapped to the same resolution (Yes). On Polymarket, the match winner, map handicap, map totals, and individual map outcomes all have clear, mutually exclusive resolution paths. Kalshi's market is fundamentally broken and should be flagged for cancellation or correction before any settlement attempt.

Critical Divergence Points:

  • Polymarket: Four distinct markets with coherent, mutually exclusive logic: (1) Match Winner resolves to either Caldya Esport or Mandatory based on series outcome; (2) Map Handicap resolves to Mandatory if they win 2+ more maps, else Caldya Esport; (3) Games Total resolves Over if 3+ maps played, else Under; (4) Map 1 and Map 2 winners resolve to the team that wins each individual map. All outcomes are clearly defined and logically consistent. Source: https://vlr.gg with 2-hour fallback to credible reporting.
  • Kalshi: Single market with contradictory resolution logic: 'If Caldya Esport wins the match, then resolves to Yes' AND 'If Mandatory wins the match, then resolves to Yes'. Since exactly one team must win a BO3 match, both possible outcomes map to Yes, making the market unresolvable. No No outcome is defined. No source or fallback mechanism is specified.
