Description

This market refers to the Valorant match between Beşiktaş Esports and CGN Esports in the VCL EMEA: Last Chance Qualifier Group B, initially scheduled for July 7 at 1:30PM ET. This market will resolve to "Beşiktaş Esports" if Beşiktaş Esports win the match against CGN Esports. This market will resolve to "CGN Esports" if CGN Esports win the match against Beşiktaş Esports. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the dashboard for this matchup displays real-time odds and price history for outcomes tied to the Valorant competition. Traders can monitor how the market prices different scenarios—such as map totals and series results—as new information emerges. The interface shows current implied probabilities, recent trade activity, and historical price movements, giving participants a live view of how the community assesses each possible outcome. Volume metrics help traders gauge liquidity and market depth for their positions.

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price events differently because they operate on distinct mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one rely on trader consensus to establish prices. Prediction markets often reflect sharper, more dynamic pricing because participants have direct financial incentive to correct mispricings. However, sportsbooks may offer tighter spreads on high-volume events. Comparing the two can reveal where public sentiment diverges from professional oddsmaking.

On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker (AMM) mechanism, where buying and selling pressure continuously adjusts the odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The top outcome currently reflects strong conviction in one direction, with the market pricing in the most likely scenario based on accumulated trades. As new information surfaces—team roster changes, recent performance, or analyst commentary—traders adjust their positions, and the price shifts accordingly. This dynamic repricing ensures the market remains responsive to evolving conditions.

This market resolves around Jul 7, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by what actually occurs during the competition, confirmed through official tournament records and broadcast data. Resolution happens after sufficient time has passed for results to be finalized and cross-checked against reliable sources. Traders should monitor the event schedule to anticipate when settlement will occur.

Several factors could shift prices before this market closes. Team roster announcements, player injuries, or last-minute lineup changes can significantly alter expectations. Recent match results and head-to-head records between the squads often influence trader sentiment. Analyst predictions and community discussion on esports forums may sway perception of each team's form. Scrim results or practice footage leaks occasionally surface and impact confidence levels. Additionally, broader tournament context—such as bracket positioning or playoff implications—can drive repricing as traders reassess the stakes.
