This market refers to the Valorant Semifinal 2 match between BBL Esports and NRG in the Esports World Cup Playoffs, initially scheduled for July 11 at 9:45AM ET. This market will resolve to "BBL Esports" if BBL Esports win the match against NRG. This market will resolve to "NRG" if NRG win the match against BBL Esports. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders who have direct financial exposure to the outcome. For this market, comparing prediction odds to major sportsbook lines can reveal whether traders are pricing the series differently than professional oddsmakers, potentially signaling contrarian sentiment or information asymmetry.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader positions into real-time probabilities. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The top outcome currently reflects expectations around map-level performance, with traders able to buy or sell shares that settle based on the verified result. Prices adjust continuously as new trades flow in, and the cost to buy or sell a share moves inversely with the probability implied by the market depth.
This market resolves around Jul 11, 2026, once the series concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result and any relevant performance metrics specified in the market terms. Until that time, traders can continue to adjust positions as new information emerges during the tournament.
Key catalysts include team roster changes, recent tournament performance, map bans and picks during the series, and in-game momentum shifts. Player form, tactical adjustments, and any technical issues during matches can all influence trader sentiment. Additionally, community analysis, expert predictions, and betting syndicate activity on other platforms may indirectly signal shifting expectations, prompting traders here to reposition ahead of the match start and throughout the series.
