This market refers to the Valorant match between ARETE and ONSIDE GAMING in the VCL Korea: Regular Season, initially scheduled for June 26 at 1:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "ARETE" if ARETE win the match against ONSIDE GAMING. This market will resolve to "ONSIDE GAMING" if ONSIDE GAMING win the match against ARETE. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price events differently. Sportsbooks set odds based on internal models and risk management, then adjust them to balance their book. Prediction markets, by contrast, derive odds from live trader consensus—the aggregate belief of thousands of participants. This market often reflects sharper, more reactive pricing because traders have real money at stake and can trade continuously. Comparing this market's implied probability to major sportsbook lines can reveal where the crowd sees value that bookmakers may have missed or mispriced.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price reflects the aggregate willingness of all participants to back each possible result. As new information surfaces—team announcements, player performance, or community discussion—traders adjust their positions, moving the price up or down. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the market stays responsive to changing expectations throughout the lead-up to the match.
This market resolves around Jun 26, 2026, once the best-of-three series concludes and the winner is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by which team wins the majority of maps in the match according to official VCL Korea records and broadcast confirmation. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will receive their payout once the result is confirmed and the market settles. Until that point, prices may fluctuate as the event unfolds and new developments emerge.
Several catalysts could shift prices significantly. Roster announcements or player substitutions for either team would likely trigger immediate repricing. Recent match results, scrim performance, or public statements from coaches and players can sway trader sentiment. Meta shifts in the game itself—new agent buffs or nerfs—may favor one team's playstyle over the other. Community analysis and expert predictions shared on social media and esports platforms often influence market participants. Injury or availability concerns would also be material. Each of these signals gives traders new information to incorporate into their positions.
