These markets track how many points are scored in the final quarter of a college football game between UTEP and Michigan. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined in that specific quarter.
The markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the fourth quarter (excluding overtime) of the UTEP vs Michigan college football game scheduled for September 19, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined fourth-quarter points exceed the threshold (2.5, 5.5, 7.5, 10.5, 12.5, 13.5, 16.5, 19.5, 20.5, 23.5, or 27.5), the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored during the fourth quarter (excluding overtime) count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance betting action, while this market represents the collective belief of traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, opportunities for arbitrage may arise, as traders might buy low on Kalshi and sell high at a sportsbook, or vice versa. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities of an outcome, and neither is guaranteed to be correct.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts. The price of a contract represents the probability of the total points scored in the 4th quarter falling within a specific range. As more traders buy contracts predicting a certain outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust probabilities as the game approaches and unfolds. The current price reflects the aggregated expectations of all participants.
This market resolves around Sep 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the total points scored in the 4th quarter of the UTEP vs Michigan game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score will be sourced from official game statistics, and the market will settle based on whether the total points fall above or below the contract's specified threshold. The platform will then distribute payouts to contract holders based on the final result. Traders should monitor official sources for the final score to understand the resolution.
Several factors could influence this market before the game concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries for either UTEP or Michigan would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also shift the market. As the game progresses, live scoring updates and strategic decisions made by the coaches will continuously update the probabilities reflected in this market. Unexpected turnovers, penalties, or dominant performances by individual players could all lead to substantial price fluctuations.
