Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market aggregates real-time consensus from participants who have financial incentive to forecast accurately. Comparing the two can reveal where public perception differs from bookmaker pricing, though both serve as useful reference points for understanding overall confidence in various outcomes.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that allows traders to buy and sell shares representing each possible exact score. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome has a current price reflecting the aggregate belief of all participants. Traders profit by correctly predicting the final scoreline, and the continuous trading mechanism ensures prices update instantly as new information arrives. The more confident traders are in a particular exact score, the higher its price will climb.
This market resolves around Jul 30, 2026, once the match concludes and the final scoreline is confirmed. The outcome is determined by the actual goals scored by each team during regulation play. Resolution occurs after the result is verified against credible public sources and recorded officially. Traders holding shares in the correct exact score receive their payout, while incorrect predictions expire worthless.
Team news—injuries to key players, lineup changes, or tactical shifts—can significantly alter the probability of specific scorelines. Recent form, head-to-head history, and home-field advantage all influence trader expectations. Weather conditions on match day may favor certain playing styles. As the fixture approaches, any official roster announcements or coaching decisions will likely trigger price adjustments. During the match itself, early goals or red cards can cause dramatic repricing as the range of plausible final scores narrows in real time.
