On Polymarket and Kalshi, prices can diverge because of differences in user bases, liquidity, and trading activity. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For instance, one platform might attract more local fans, skewing its probabilities, while the other could reflect broader, international sentiment. These variations often balance out over time, but near-term discrepancies are common in this market.
