This event covers which players will start for Belgium in their FIFA World Cup match against the USA scheduled for July 6, 2026. Each market resolves based on whether a specific player appears in the official starting lineup and is on the field when play begins.
Resolution is determined by the official starting lineup and players on the field at kickoff for the USA vs Belgium FIFA World Cup match originally scheduled for July 6, 2026. A player who is not in the initially announced starting lineup but appears in the official starting lineup at kickoff and on the field when play begins resolves to Yes. Conversely, a player named in the starting lineup but replaced or withdrawn before kickoff resolves to No. Substitute appearances do not count toward resolution. If the match does not occur before July 7, 2026, all markets resolve to No.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one aggregate genuine beliefs from traders risking real capital. This market may price certain lineup scenarios differently than traditional sportsbooks, especially for less obvious starting decisions or injury-dependent selections. Comparing the two can reveal where public perception differs from bookmaker positioning, offering valuable context for understanding lineup expectations.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through continuous order-book trading, where buyers and sellers submit bids and offers for each possible starting lineup outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of any outcome reflects the marginal trade—the last transaction executed—and moves as new information arrives and trader conviction shifts. Liquidity and trading volume influence how quickly prices adjust to news. Participants can enter limit or market orders to express their view on Belgium's starting XI, with prices converging toward the true probability as the match approaches.
This market resolves around Jul 7, 2026, once the match concludes and Belgium's actual starting lineup is confirmed. The outcome is verified against credible public sources, including official team sheets and broadcast coverage. Traders holding positions on the correct starting XI are paid out according to their contract value, while incorrect positions expire worthless. Resolution is typically finalized within hours of kickoff, once the lineup is publicly announced and documented.
Several catalysts can shift odds in this market before Jul 7, 2026. Injury announcements or player availability updates will immediately reprice outcomes involving those players. Tactical leaks, coaching statements, or pre-match press conferences revealing formation changes can trigger sharp moves. Team news from Belgium's camp—such as fitness tests, squad rotation decisions, or surprise call-ups—will influence trader positioning. As the match draws closer, late-breaking developments and betting syndicates' final positioning often drive volume and volatility, reflecting last-minute confidence shifts on the starting XI.
