Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market is driven purely by traders expressing their beliefs. If a significant number of people believe a particular outcome is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the price will move accordingly. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before major events, as new information emerges and the crowd updates its assessment of the likely result.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether Sassuolo or Juventus will score first in the first half. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price fluctuates, reflecting the collective intelligence of the market. The market's price is determined solely by supply and demand for shares, with no external factors influencing the valuation.

This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which team, Sassuolo or Juventus, scores the first goal during the first half of the match. The official match records will serve as the basis for determining the winning outcome. Any disputes will be addressed based on publicly available and verifiable information regarding the match's events.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Late-breaking news about key player injuries or suspensions for either Sassuolo or Juventus would likely cause significant movement. Changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced before the match could also shift the odds. Even weather conditions on match day, potentially impacting the style of play, could play a role. Unexpected news regarding team morale or internal conflicts could also contribute to price fluctuations in this market.
