Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance betting action, while this market’s probabilities are driven purely by individuals wagering their own capital. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced an outcome, they can express that view by trading on Polymarket. This can lead to differences in implied probabilities, potentially offering value to informed bettors who identify discrepancies between the two.
