Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the 'wisdom of the crowd,' potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market is driven by individuals trading based on their own information and beliefs. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, biases, or simply the dynamic nature of a decentralized market. It's common to see this market converge with sportsbook odds as the event nears, but divergences can present opportunities for informed traders.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe Korneeva/Vidmanova and Bondar/Kalinina will win, the higher the price of shares representing that outcome will climb. Conversely, if sentiment shifts towards the other team, the price will decrease, reflecting the changing expectations of the crowd.

Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team composition, or even weather conditions affecting the match could shift trader sentiment. Strong performances by either team in preceding matches, or expert analysis predicting a particular outcome, could also drive price movements.
