On Polymarket, this market reflects trader sentiment rather than traditional sportsbook lines. Prediction market odds often differ due to unique dynamics like speculative positioning and hedging strategies. Traders may assign higher or lower probabilities based on factors sportsbooks don’t weigh equally. The resulting prices can therefore show divergence from sportsbook odds, especially as new information emerges or volume shifts. This difference provides an alternative view of expected outcomes for participants interested in the US Open WTA qualifier market.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders collectively set the price through their bets, which determines the implied probability for each outcome. The current leading chance reflects the majority view among active participants. Liquidity and volume also influence how quickly prices adjust to new information or shifts in sentiment surrounding the competitors.
