Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while Polymarket allows traders to directly assess the probability of an event. This can lead to discrepancies, as the 'wisdom of the crowd' on Polymarket may assign different probabilities than professional oddsmakers. It's common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information or shifts in public opinion than sportsbooks, potentially offering different value depending on your assessment of the match.
