Description

This event group tracks whether specific tennis players will reach the quarterfinals in the Men's Singles draw at the 2026 US Open. Markets exist on multiple platforms with varying player lists and resolution criteria.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

All platforms use the same core logic: player reaches quarterfinals = Yes, otherwise No, with consistent cancellation/postponement rulesPrimary resolution logic: Official confirmation from USTA and ATP

Core resolution logic:

  • Market resolves to Yes if the listed player reaches the quarterfinals at the 2026 US Open per official tournament results
  • Market resolves to No if the player is eliminated before quarterfinals or if the tournament is canceled/postponed with unconfirmed quarterfinalists by September 27, 11:59 PM ET
  • Resolution source is official USTA and ATP announcements, with credible reporting as secondary confirmation

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Tournament Cancellation: If the 2026 US Open is canceled or postponed beyond September 27 with unconfirmed quarterfinalists, all markets resolve to No
  • Player Withdrawal: If a listed player withdraws before completing their quarterfinal match (e.g., due to injury), the market resolves to No
Timing: Resolution occurs after official quarterfinal match completions and USTA/ATP confirmation, no later than September 27, 11:59 PM ETOur PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed player clinches a spot in the Quarterfinals at the 2026 US Open per US Open rules. Otherwise, the associated market will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed player to clinch a spot in the Quarterfinals at the 2026 US Open (e.g. the player is eliminated), the associated market will resolve to "No". If the 2026 US Open is cancelled, postponed after September 27, 11:59 PM ET, or the players that qualified for the Quarterfinals have not been officially confirmed by the USTA within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the USTA and ATP; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Frequently asked questions

The dashboard for the US Open men's quarterfinals market aggregates data from multiple platforms, showing real-time probabilities and volume for each contender. It tracks how trader sentiment evolves across Polymarket and Kalshi, reflecting the collective view of who might reach the last eight. This consolidated view gives you a snapshot of market confidence and liquidity trends, letting you compare where interest is growing or fading as the tournament approaches.

On Polymarket and Kalshi, prices can diverge because each platform attracts different user bases and trading volumes, influencing how probabilities are set. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For example, one venue might see heavier betting on an underdog due to recent news, pushing its implied chance higher. These differences mean you could find better value on one exchange versus the other, depending on how recent events affect each community’s outlook.

Injuries, withdrawals, or surprising early-round results can all shift this market dramatically as the tournament nears. Media updates about player health, seeding changes, or even weather delays may cause implied chances to swing widely. Keep an eye on official tournament announcements and how traders react on Polymarket and Kalshi, since rapid betting shifts often precede news that’s still emerging in the public sphere.
