Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market is driven purely by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced an outcome, the odds on Polymarket will adjust accordingly. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before major events, as prediction markets can incorporate information and analysis faster than sportsbooks. However, as the event approaches, these odds tend to converge.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants. The current price indicates the market’s assessment of the likelihood of each athlete winning the match, and this can change rapidly based on new information or shifts in sentiment.

This market resolves around Sep 14, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
