Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets price outcomes based on real-time trader consensus. This market aggregates the collective judgment of many independent traders, which can sometimes identify value that traditional sportsbooks miss. Comparing the two can reveal where public opinion on the exact score differs most sharply from professional oddsmakers, though both sources offer legitimate perspectives on the likely result.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that allows traders to buy and sell shares in each exact score outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the cumulative trades placed by the community; as more traders back a particular scoreline, its price rises, and less-favored outcomes fall. This continuous pricing mechanism ensures the market remains liquid and responsive to new information. Traders profit by correctly predicting which exact score will occur, with payouts determined by the final verified result.
This market resolves around Jul 24, 2026, once the match between the two teams concludes and the final score is confirmed. The outcome is determined by the verified final scoreline, checked against credible public sources covering the event. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as odds fluctuate. Resolution happens automatically once the score is official, and payouts are distributed to holders of the winning exact score outcome.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before kickoff and during the match. Team news—such as injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes—often triggers significant repricing. Weather conditions, home-field advantage, and recent form can also influence trader expectations about the likely scoreline. Once the match begins, live goals and red cards will cause rapid price movements as the probability of each exact score outcome changes in real time. Late-breaking tactical adjustments or unexpected player substitutions may also prompt traders to adjust their positions.
