Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from initial sportsbook odds which are set by professional oddsmakers. Sportsbooks may incorporate factors like public betting biases or promotional considerations, while this market relies on individuals directly expressing their beliefs through trading. It's common to see prediction market odds converge towards the true outcome as more information becomes available and trading volume increases. However, discrepancies can persist due to differing information access or risk assessment among participants in each venue.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate and express their views, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined entirely by supply and demand within Polymarket, and reflects the aggregated predictions of its users, rather than any external factors.
