These markets evaluate how many points will be scored in the final quarter of a college football game between UCLA and Maryland. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined during that specific period.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the fourth quarter of the UCLA vs Maryland college football game scheduled for September 26, 2026, excluding any overtime periods. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined fourth-quarter points exceed the stated threshold (2.5, 5.5, 7.5, 10.5, 12.5, 13.5, 16.5, 19.5, 20.5, 23.5, or 27.5), the respective market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of the original scheduled start time, all markets remain open and resolve based on the official final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored during regulation fourth-quarter play count toward resolution.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on models and internal analysis, while this market is driven by individuals willing to put their money behind their beliefs. It's common to see differences emerge, especially as new information becomes available or public sentiment shifts. Examining these differences can be insightful, but remember that both represent probabilities as perceived by different groups.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where buyers and sellers set the price of contracts. Each contract represents a specific total points range for the 4th quarter. Traders can buy 'yes' contracts if they believe the total will fall within that range, or sell 'no' contracts if they think it won’t. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price reflects the probability of that outcome, with higher prices indicating greater confidence. As more trades occur, the price adjusts to reflect the evolving consensus of the market participants.
This market resolves around Sep 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the UCLA vs Maryland game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The total points scored in the fourth quarter will be compared to the ranges defined by the contracts traded on Kalshi. Contracts corresponding to the correct range will pay out, while those representing incorrect ranges will expire worthless. The official game statistics will serve as the definitive record for determining the winning contracts.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either UCLA or Maryland would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they affect scoring, could also shift the market. Even late-breaking news about team strategy or coaching decisions could cause traders to reassess their predictions. As the game approaches, real-time scoring in the first three quarters will heavily influence trading activity and the perceived probability of different 4th quarter totals.
