These markets evaluate how many points will be scored in a specific quarter of a college football game between UCLA and California. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined during that quarter.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the third quarter of the UCLA vs California college football game scheduled for September 5, 2026. Each market has a specific numerical threshold; if the combined third-quarter points exceed that threshold, the market resolves to Yes. Only points scored during the third quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own insights. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. These differences can present opportunities for arbitrage, where traders seek to profit from the mispricing between the two types of markets. Keep in mind that prediction markets are forward-looking, incorporating expectations about future outcomes.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts. The price of a contract represents the probability of the event occurring – in this case, the 3rd quarter total going over or under the specified number. As more people buy contracts predicting one outcome, the price increases, and the probability implied by the price shifts accordingly. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and reflect the collective beliefs of all participants. Traders can set their own prices, creating a fluid and responsive market.
This market resolves around Sep 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official total points scored in the 3rd quarter of the UCLA vs California game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score will be sourced from official game statistics, and the market will settle based on whether the actual total exceeds or falls short of the relevant threshold. Traders holding contracts on the correct outcome will receive a payout, while those on the incorrect side will forfeit their stake. The resolution process is designed to be transparent and based on objective data.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding player injuries to key offensive players on either the UCLA or California teams would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they affect scoring, could also move the market. In-game performance during the first and second quarters—such as a team establishing a dominant offensive rhythm—might lead traders to adjust their expectations for the 3rd quarter total. Unexpected coaching decisions or shifts in game strategy could also contribute to price fluctuations.
