This set of markets tracks how many points are scored in the second quarter of a college football game between UCLA and California. Each market has a different threshold for the total points that must be exceeded for the outcome to be considered a success.
These markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined during the second quarter of the UCLA vs California college football game scheduled for September 5, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold (ranging from 2.5 to 27.5 points); if the actual second-quarter points exceed that threshold, the market resolves to Yes. Only points scored during the second quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to be accurate. Discrepancies can arise from differing information, biases, or simply the dynamics of how each venue operates. If you find a significant difference between the implied probability on Kalshi and sportsbook odds, it could indicate an opportunity for value betting, or that the market has information the sportsbook doesn't.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the 2nd quarter total. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that total occurring. As more traders buy contracts predicting a specific outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism means the market constantly adjusts to new information and changing sentiment. Traders aim to profit by accurately predicting the outcome and capitalizing on price discrepancies.
This market resolves around Sep 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score for the 2nd quarter of the UCLA versus California game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The total points scored by both teams during the 2nd quarter will be used to determine which contracts pay out. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring a transparent and verifiable result. Traders should monitor official sources for the final score to understand the outcome of this market.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either UCLA or California would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they impact offensive strategies, could also play a role. Game day performance in the 1st quarter, and any adjustments made by coaches at halftime, will be closely watched. Unexpected scoring drives or defensive stops during the 2nd quarter itself will have an immediate impact on the market as traders react to the unfolding game.
