This set of markets focuses on predicting the point differential in the first quarter of a college football game between UAB and Illinois. Each market corresponds to a specific threshold of points by which either team must win the first quarter to resolve as 'Yes'.
All markets resolve based solely on points scored during the first quarter of play in the UAB vs Illinois college football game scheduled for September 3, 2026. If Illinois wins the first quarter by exceeding the specified point threshold—ranging from 2.5 to 23.5 points—the corresponding 'Illinois wins by over X points' market resolves to Yes. Conversely, if UAB wins the first quarter by exceeding its specified threshold—ranging from 2.5 to 10.5 points—the relevant 'UAB wins by over X points' market resolves to Yes. Should the game be postponed but commence within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, all markets remain active and resolve according to the official result. If the game fails to start within this 48-hour window, all markets will resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants regardless of the specific point differential outcome.
On Kalshi, this market reflects trader sentiment rather than traditional sportsbook lines. Prediction market odds often differ due to unique participant dynamics and real-time adjustments. Traders may price in factors beyond standard sportsbook models, such as perceived team momentum or weather conditions. The spread in this market could appear more or less favorable than sportsbook equivalents, depending on how participants weigh statistical probabilities and game context. These differences provide alternative insights into how informed communities view the likely outcome of the first quarter.
On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Kalshi, traders set the odds through continuous trading, with the current top outcome reflecting the collective belief about which team will cover the spread in the first quarter. The market price adjusts based on buying and selling pressure, volume of $7,965, and any new data influencing expectations for the game’s early momentum.
This market resolves around Sep 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result is determined by the official game statistics, specifically the point differential between UAB and Illinois at the end of the first quarter, which is then matched to the market’s predefined outcomes.
In the run-up to Sep 4, 2026, several factors may shift trader sentiment. Key performances in recent games, injury updates, or changes in starting lineups could significantly impact expectations. Weather forecasts for the game day, especially regarding potential game-disrupting conditions, may also influence odds. Additionally, any notable strategic adjustments by coaches or shifts in team dynamics could cause rapid market movement as traders reassess probabilities. Public betting trends and media narratives leading up to the event often create short-term volatility in this market.
