Prediction market odds in this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines due to community-driven pricing and unique betting mechanics. While sportsbooks may set their lines based on analytical models and risk management, prediction markets reflect the aggregated beliefs of participants, which can lead to more volatile or divergent pricing. Traders should compare both sources to identify potential value gaps or shifts in public sentiment.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this market is priced through a decentralized betting pool where participants buy and sell contracts representing possible outcomes. The current probability reflects the ratio of contracts sold for each outcome relative to the total pool size. As more traders place bets, the odds adjust dynamically based on supply and demand within the market.
