Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for profit margins, while this market is driven purely by traders expressing their beliefs about the outcome. If prediction market odds significantly diverge from sportsbook odds, it could indicate that the market believes the sportsbook is mispricing the event, or that new information hasn’t yet been fully incorporated into sportsbook lines. It's a useful comparison to consider when evaluating potential value.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts accordingly, providing a dynamic assessment of the event’s likelihood. The current implied probability of a particular outcome is determined by the share price relative to $1.00, where $1.00 represents a 100% probability.
This market resolves around Sep 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Tuzhylin vs. Cherevko match, as reported by a recognized sports authority. The platform will verify the result against publicly available data to determine the winning outcome and distribute funds to those who correctly predicted the result. It is important to note that the resolution process relies on external verification of the event's outcome.
