Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their view. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the larger number of participants contributing to the prediction market. It's common to see prediction markets move more efficiently as new information becomes available, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities than those offered by sportsbooks. Examining both can provide a more comprehensive understanding of the expected outcome.
