Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamic nature of prediction markets. It's common to see this market move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts leading up to the event.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, the price increases, reflecting growing confidence. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined entirely by supply and demand, driven by the collective predictions of participants, and is constantly updating as new information becomes available.
This market resolves around Sep 14, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
