Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by a small group of experts, while this market's price is determined by the collective predictions of many individuals. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when there’s a lot of uncertainty surrounding the game. Analyzing both sources can provide a more well-rounded understanding of the expected outcome and potential value.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts. The price of a contract represents the probability of that outcome occurring. For example, a contract priced at 60 means it costs 60 dollars to buy a contract that pays out 100 dollars if the outcome occurs. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price dynamically adjusts based on supply and demand, reflecting the evolving expectations of traders regarding the final 4th quarter total in the Tulane vs Kansas State game.
This market resolves around Sep 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
