This set of markets focuses on predicting the point differential in the third quarter of a college football game between Troy and Missouri. Each market corresponds to a specific point margin threshold that must be exceeded by either team during that quarter to resolve as 'Yes'.
All markets resolve based solely on points scored during the third quarter of play in the Troy vs Missouri college football game scheduled for September 19, 2026. If Missouri wins the third quarter by more than the specified margin (ranging from 2.5 to 23.5 points), the corresponding 'Missouri wins 3Q by over X points' market resolves to Yes. Conversely, if Troy wins the third quarter by more than the specified margin (2.5, 3.5, 6.5, 7.5, or 10.5 points), the respective 'Troy wins 3Q by over X points' market resolves to Yes. Should the game be postponed but commence within 48 hours of its original start time, all markets remain active and resolve based on the official result. If the game fails to start within this 48-hour window, all markets will resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants regardless of the specific point differential thresholds.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, and can sometimes differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of people believe a particular outcome is more likely than a sportsbook suggests, the price in this market will move accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before a lot of information is available, or when public sentiment strongly favors one side. Observing these differences can provide insights into where the market finds value.
This market resolves around Sep 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the final point spread in the third quarter of the Troy vs Missouri football game will be used to determine which contracts pay out. The market will settle based on the official result as reported by a trusted sports data source. Traders holding contracts on the correct spread will receive a payout, while those on incorrect spreads will not. The resolution process aims to be transparent and based on objective data.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Troy or Missouri teams would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest adverse conditions, could also impact the spread. Public betting patterns and analysis from sports commentators could also shift the market. Finally, any late-breaking news about team strategies or internal issues could also play a role in how the price of this market evolves leading up to the game and its resolution.
