Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the dashboard for the Fellin vs Passaro tennis match displays real-time odds and price movements as traders buy and sell shares tied to the match outcome. The interface shows the current probability implied by market prices, allowing you to monitor how sentiment shifts as new information emerges. You can track historical price data to see how odds have evolved, and view trading activity to gauge market confidence in each potential result. This live tracking helps traders make informed decisions about when to enter or exit positions on this event.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and manage risk, while prediction markets allow traders to discover prices through open bidding. This market aggregates the collective judgment of traders wagering real capital, which can sometimes offer a more efficient signal than traditional sportsbook lines, especially for niche matchups. However, sportsbooks may incorporate additional factors like injury reports or weather that prediction markets haven't yet priced in, creating temporary gaps between the two venues.

On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective belief about the likelihood of that outcome, with higher prices indicating greater confidence. As new information surfaces—such as player form, head-to-head records, or court conditions—traders adjust their positions, moving prices up or down. The spread between bid and ask prices narrows or widens based on trading volume and market depth, influencing how easily you can enter or exit a position.

This market resolves around Jul 14, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result, determining which trader positions are correct. Until that point, prices will fluctuate as traders reassess probabilities based on any available pre-match intelligence. Resolution is final once the event data is confirmed, at which time winning shares are paid out and losing shares expire worthless.

Several catalysts could shift odds significantly before the match begins. Player injury announcements or withdrawal news would trigger sharp repricing, as would recent tournament results or head-to-head performance updates. Court surface conditions, weather forecasts, and betting line movements from major sportsbooks often signal professional money flowing into one side, prompting retail traders to adjust. Coaching changes, player statements, or unexpected ranking shifts can also influence market sentiment. Real-time updates during warm-ups or official practice sessions may drive final adjustments as traders incorporate last-minute form cues.
