The 2026 Travelers Championship is a professional golf tournament where players compete over 72 holes. These markets track whether individual golfers finish in the top 10 (including ties) after the completion of the first three rounds of competition.
Each market resolves based on a specific golfer's finishing position after the first 3 rounds of the 2026 Travelers Championship. A market resolves to Yes if the golfer finishes in the top 10 (including ties). If a golfer forfeits, withdraws, or does not participate prior to teeing off in the tournament, the corresponding market resolves to Fair Market Price. If a golfer begins play but subsequently forfeits or withdraws after teeing off, the market resolves to No.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they serve different audiences and operate under different constraints. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and profit margin, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader consensus and real-money incentives to forecast accurately. Prediction markets typically reflect longer-term or more granular views, whereas sportsbooks may adjust quickly for sharp action. Comparing this market's implied probabilities to major sportsbook lines can reveal where the crowd sees value or where public perception differs from professional oddsmakers.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each top-10 finisher outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective belief in that outcome's likelihood, ranging from near zero to near 100 cents. Traders profit by correctly predicting which golfers land in the top 10, and prices adjust in real time as new information emerges—such as leaderboard updates, weather changes, or injury reports. Higher-priced outcomes indicate stronger market confidence in those finishers.
This market resolves around Jun 27, 2026, once the third round of the Travelers Championship concludes and final leaderboard positions are confirmed. The outcome is determined by the official tournament results, verified against credible public sources such as the PGA Tour's official leaderboard or major sports news outlets. Traders who correctly predicted the top-10 finishers after round three receive payouts proportional to their position size, while incorrect predictions result in losses. Resolution is automatic once the round ends and results are publicly available.
Several factors can shift odds before resolution. Real-time leaderboard changes as players complete holes will be the primary driver, with leaders and contenders gaining or losing implied probability as they move up or down the standings. Weather conditions, course difficulty, and player momentum can all influence trader expectations. Injury announcements or withdrawal news will instantly reprice affected golfers. Late-round collapses or hot streaks by underdogs often trigger sharp price swings. Media commentary and analyst predictions may also sway sentiment, particularly if a surprise contender emerges or a favorite stumbles down the stretch.
