On Predict, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each possible outcome. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the collective belief of active traders at that moment. As new information emerges—injuries, weather, recent form—traders adjust their positions, and prices move accordingly. Higher prices indicate stronger conviction that an outcome will occur. You can place limit or market orders to enter or exit your position, and the spread between bid and ask prices represents the current disagreement among traders about the true probability.
This market resolves around Jul 26, 2026, once the game concludes and the result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the final score and which team wins the matchup. No further conditions apply—the market simply confirms the winner based on the official game result. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. The resolution process is automated and transparent, ensuring all participants see the same verified result.
Key roster developments—such as injuries to star players, trades, or unexpected lineup changes—typically trigger sharp price movements in this market. Recent team performance, head-to-head matchup history, and home-field advantage also influence trader positioning. Weather conditions on game day, bullpen availability, and momentum shifts in either team's season can shift odds significantly. Breaking news about player health or coaching decisions often causes rapid repricing as traders react to new information. Even subtle shifts in public sentiment or expert commentary can nudge prices as traders reassess their edge and adjust their bets accordingly.
