Prediction market odds often reflect a different set of information and incentives than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically set odds to maximize profit, incorporating a margin for themselves, and may be influenced by public betting patterns. This market, however, represents the aggregated beliefs of informed traders who have 'skin in the game', incentivizing more accurate predictions. While sportsbook odds may initially differ, they often converge with prediction market prices as more information becomes available and traders refine their assessments.
