These markets track which song will hold the #1 position on Spotify's Weekly Top Songs USA chart for the week dated June 25, 2026. Each market corresponds to a specific song, and resolves to Yes if that song reaches the top spot on that particular chart date.
Each market resolves to Yes if its corresponding song achieves the #1 position on the Weekly Top Songs USA chart dated June 25, 2026. The eligible songs are: Choosin' Texas, I Knew It I Knew You, hate that i made you love me, Janice STFU, Earrings, the cure, Billie Jean, Be Her, Chicago, Cinderella (feat. Ty Dolla $ign), Babydoll, Mr. Brightside, Man I Need, Shabang, Beat It, and stupid song. Resolution is based on the official Spotify Weekly Top Songs USA chart for the specified date. Only one song can hold the #1 position on any given chart date, meaning only one market in this event can resolve to Yes. If none of the specified songs reaches #1, all markets resolve to No. This market is not endorsed by Spotify and references to Spotify charts and streaming data are descriptive only.
Prediction market odds reflect real-money trader conviction and often diverge from music industry analyst predictions or chart momentum models. While analysts may rely on streaming data, radio airplay, and historical chart patterns, this market prices in broader trader sentiment, surprise releases, and cultural momentum shifts. Comparing the implied probability of the leading contender here to pre-release forecasts from music publications or chart analysts can reveal whether traders are more or less bullish than conventional wisdom. Such divergences often highlight undervalued or overvalued outcomes that emerge only when money is on the line.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to each potential outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each song candidate is represented as a separate contract, and the price of each contract reflects the collective probability assigned by active traders. As new information emerges—chart performance, streaming trends, or industry news—traders adjust their positions, moving prices up or down. The current market price of any outcome contract directly translates to its implied probability, allowing traders to enter or exit positions at any time before resolution.
This market resolves around Jul 9, 2026, once the Billboard Hot 100 Weekly Top Songs USA chart for the week ending June 25, 2026 is officially published and verified. The outcome is determined by identifying which song holds the number-one position on that chart release. Resolution is confirmed once the result is verifiable from credible public sources, at which point the winning outcome contract is paid out in full and all other contracts expire worthless. Traders should monitor official Billboard announcements and chart data to track the leading contenders as the resolution date approaches.
Major catalysts include surprise album or single releases from top artists, viral social media moments that boost streaming, award show performances, and radio playlist rotations in the weeks leading up to June 25, 2026. Chart performance in the weeks immediately before resolution is especially influential, as momentum often carries into the final week. Streaming platform data releases, collaborations with high-profile artists, and cultural events can rapidly shift trader expectations. Additionally, any shifts in listener behavior or competing releases from rival artists could reshape the competitive landscape and trigger significant repricing across all outcomes in this market.
