Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, it could indicate that the market perceives information differently than the sportsbook, or that one venue has more informed traders. It’s important to consider both sources when forming your own assessment of the likely outcome.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe an outcome is likely, the higher the share price will rise, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective intelligence of the crowd and adjusts in real-time as new information becomes available.

This market resolves around Sep 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Toman vs. Tuma match, as reported by the governing sporting body. This ensures an objective and transparent determination of the winning outcome. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their strategies for future events, based on the accuracy of the market’s predictions.

Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market before Sep 9, 2026. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in playing conditions, or even shifts in public sentiment could cause traders to reassess their probabilities. Unexpected performance in preceding matches, or even strategic announcements from either player’s camp, could also trigger significant market movement. Monitoring these signals and understanding their potential impact is key to identifying opportunities in this market.
