Prediction market odds often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the wisdom of the crowd effect. Sportsbooks set lines based on their internal models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market reflects the collective beliefs of many individual traders. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. These differences can present opportunities for arbitrage, where traders attempt to profit from the price variations between the two types of markets. However, it’s important to note that the accuracy of either type of odds isn’t guaranteed.
