Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a ‘vig’ or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin for the house. This market, driven by the collective intelligence of traders on Polymarket, aims to represent the true probability of each outcome, though biases can still exist. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. Comparing these odds can offer valuable insights into where the ‘crowd’ believes the value lies.
