Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market represents the collective belief of traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between prediction market probabilities and sportsbook odds, it could indicate an opportunity for arbitrage – though transaction fees and withdrawal times should be considered. It’s common to see this market adjust rapidly to new information, potentially exceeding the speed of sportsbook adjustments.
