PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi defines a market for every player, while Polymarket only defines markets for a subset of players. This creates redundancy and potential inconsistency.Hero tip: Focus on players with markets on both platforms for the most reliable trading. Be aware that a 'No' resolution on Polymarket doesn't necessarily mean the player didn't finish in the top 8, only that they weren't covered by a Polymarket market.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Markets exist only for a subset of players. Resolves to 'Yes' if the listed player finishes in the top 8 according to Chess.com. If the tournament is postponed after September 29, 2026, or standings aren't published by then, it resolves to 'No'.
  • Kalshi: Markets exist for all listed players. Resolves to 'Yes' if the listed player finishes in the top 8. The original scheduled date is September 8, 2026, but the markets refer to the September 15th competition.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed player finishes in the top 8 of Titled Tuesday on September 15, 2026, according to the final standings published by the tournament organizer. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". If the listed player does not play, their corresponding market will resolve to "No". If this tournament is postponed after September 29, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, canceled, or final standings have not been published within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the tournament organizer, Chess.com (https://www.chess.com/events/info/2026-titled-tuesday-blitz); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Kalshi

Each market resolves to 'Yes' if the specified player finishes in the top 8 of the Titled Tuesday weekly chess competition scheduled for September 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM EDT. The event follows a blitz format and consists of 11 rounds in a Swiss tournament structure. Kalshi disclaims any official affiliation with the governing league, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Kalshi for the Titled Tuesday competition, often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering different insights than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. This can lead to discrepancies, particularly when public opinion diverges from expert analysis. The spread between prediction market probabilities and sportsbook odds can sometimes indicate mispricing or unique information available to market participants.
