This group of markets tracks whether specific chess players will finish in the top 8 of the Titled Tuesday weekly chess competition scheduled for August 4, 2026. The markets resolve based on the final standings published by the tournament organizer, Chess.com.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed player finishes in the top 8 of Titled Tuesday on August 4, 2026, according to the final standings published by the tournament organizer. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". If the listed player does not play, their corresponding market will resolve to "No". If this tournament is postponed after August 18, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, canceled, or final standings have not been published within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the tournament organizer, Chess.com (https://www.chess.com/events/info/2026-titled-tuesday-blitz); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Each market resolves to 'Yes' if the specified player finishes within the top eight positions of the Titled Tuesday weekly chess competition scheduled for August 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM EDT. The event follows a blitz format and consists of 11 rounds in a Swiss tournament structure. All markets share the same underlying event and timing, with resolution based solely on the final standings of each named participant. Kalshi disclaims any official affiliation with the governing league, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
On Polymarket and Kalshi, prices can vary because each platform attracts distinct trader bases and liquidity profiles. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For example, one venue might see heavier volume from chess specialists who value deeper tournament knowledge, while another could lean toward broader retail interest. These differences in participation and information flow naturally lead to varied implied probabilities, especially when no clear favorite emerges.
Key signals that could shift this market include major player injuries or withdrawals, high-profile match outcomes in early tournament rounds, and shifting analyst commentary on contender form. As the August 4 event nears, any update to player rankings, tournament seeding announcements, or unexpected tournament format changes may also cause rapid re-pricing across Polymarket and Kalshi.
