Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between the implied probability on Polymarket and sportsbook odds, it could indicate that traders possess information not yet fully priced in by sportsbooks, or simply have different risk assessments. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster than sportsbooks in response to new information, especially regarding player fitness or tactical changes.
