This market tracks the outcome of the second set in a professional tennis match between Thiago Agustin Tirante and Jacob Fearnley at the 2026 ATP Eastbourne tournament. One of the two players will win the set by reaching six games with a two-game lead, or by winning a tiebreaker.
The market resolves based on which player wins set 2 of the Thiago Agustin Tirante vs Jacob Fearnley match in the 2026 ATP Eastbourne Round of 32. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to fair market price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one price outcomes based on trader belief and capital allocation. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper, more efficient pricing because traders have direct financial skin in the game and no house edge to overcome. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal whether the crowd is pricing the Tirante-Fearnley second set differently than professional oddsmakers.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective probability assigned by the market; a share trading at 65 cents implies roughly a 65% chance of that outcome occurring. Liquidity and trading volume directly influence how tight the bid-ask spread remains, affecting how easily you can enter or exit positions. Real-time price discovery happens as new information emerges and traders update their positions ahead of the second set.
This market resolves around Jun 22, 2026, once the Tirante versus Fearnley match is complete and the second set winner is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by official match records and confirmed through standard sports reporting channels. Until that point, prices will fluctuate based on live match developments, player performance, and trader sentiment. Early resolution is possible if circumstances prevent the second set from being played, in which case the platform will apply its standard event-cancellation rules.
Several factors can shift odds before this market resolves. Player injury or withdrawal would trigger sharp repricing, as would unexpected weather delays or scheduling changes. Live match performance in the first set serves as a major catalyst—momentum, break points, and set dynamics often influence trader expectations for the second set. News about player form, recent head-to-head records, or court conditions can also move the needle. As the match begins and real-time data flows in, traders will continuously adjust positions, creating volatility that reflects genuine new information rather than noise.
