Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate the collective beliefs of traders risking real capital on outcomes. For this market, prediction market prices may move faster in response to breaking news or injury reports, since traders update their positions instantly. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal where the crowd sees value or where consensus differs, though both reflect genuine probability estimates from informed participants.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader activity into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders purchase shares representing each outcome, and the price of each share moves based on supply and demand. The platform displays odds as percentages that sum to 100 percent across all possible results. As more traders buy or sell shares for a particular outcome, its price rises or falls accordingly, creating a continuous price discovery mechanism that reflects the latest market consensus on how the second half will unfold.
This market resolves around Jul 30, 2026, once the match concludes and the second-half result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by the official final score or result recorded for the second half only, independent of the first-half scoreline. Resolution occurs after the match ends and the result is confirmed through standard sports data sources. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while incorrect predictions expire worthless.
Several catalysts can shift odds before Jul 30, 2026. Team news—such as injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes announced before kickoff—often triggers sharp price moves as traders reassess win probability. First-half events, including early goals, red cards, or tactical adjustments, will influence expectations for the second half and drive trading activity. Weather conditions, venue factors, and real-time momentum during the match itself can also sway sentiment. Additionally, any official announcements from either club or league bodies may prompt repricing as new information reaches the market.
